The causes and consequences faced by the Jewish people when exiled to Babylon are studied, the impact of prophets and priests in exile, the promises of restoration of the people upon their return, the way God brings them back to their land, and the great difficulties in rebuilding the temple and walls of Jerusalem.
All these aspects are studied from the Latin American Biblical Hermeneutics applied to the prison context. The conversations and biblical in-depth studies between people deprived of liberty and teachers always allow for an important construction of biblical theological knowledge in the prison environment, for example, understanding the causes that led them to prison, how the ecclesiastical environment influences their life of faith, and something fundamental, how to prepare to face their life as a former inmate and what are the walls they will have to build to protect their new life and not return to illegality.
